Now for the Pinapple...
When the movie, "Pineapple Express" debuted , it sparked several rumors, and resulted in people claiming to have it simply to slap a popular name on their product. Of course those who are updated on cannabis culture would know that at that time, no such strain existed, and in fact the movie had completely and utterly made up Pineapple Express. But it would be cool if it was real right? well that's exactly what G-13 Labs thought! And so they added this new strain to their already impressive encyclopedia, and it can hold its own with many of G-13's heavyweight knockouts, such as the previously shown "Lemon X G-13 Haze" which is ranked among one of my top 5 favorite buds I have personally experienced! G-13 Labs keeps the parent strains of their Pineapple Express a secret, leading to some controversy and others believing that the name is still merely a gimmick. This could not be further from the truth. Pineapple Express is an Indica/Sativa blend, with a heavier Sativa feeling stone right behind and between the eyes. The smell of these nugs reek of funky funk and ripe pineapple, While the smoke is smooth and has a sweet citrus taste on the exhale (breathe out through your nose ladies and gentlemen ;). And although the mother and father plants are still unknown, there is some information we can use to explain why the Pineapple Express is just so dank. The Pineapple phenotype in cannabis first manifested in an extremely popular strain with an interesting history, known as "Cinderella 99" created by "The Bros. Grimm". For this obvious reason, almost all strains that have a pineapple taste or smell contain the famous Cinderella 99. This also explains the "funky funk" smell of the P.E that I mentioned earlier, for the fact that C-99 contains a phenotype that causes what is described as a sour pungent smell. This bud is excellent for those high-action/comedy times that you'll just never forget. If the Pineapple Express were to run a train through your town, my advice would be to jump on it!
